With this new deck, Penguin Magic celebrates one of the world’s great cultural treasures: Westminster Abbey. This church has been a key symbol of the British monarchy since William the Conqueror was crowned there in 1066. Since then, it has seen almost all of the coronations and weddings of the British throne, as well as holding the bones of many of its kings and queens in its crypts. Isaac Newton rests here, as do Charles Darwin and William Wilberforce.
In the Westminster deck, legendary designer Phil Smith pays homage to this rich history with a gorgeous luxury deck inspired by the church’s Gothic architecture. (Look especially for the custom gargoyle jokers with a reveal effect.) The hypnotic card backs are printed with metallic green ink, giving them a beautiful flourish for cardistry, and the deck also features a duplicate 2H and gaff card for magicians.
The cards themselves are printed by the USPCC with the highest production values, traditional cut, and a premium finish that is a joy to handle.
