Jane Austen Playing Cards were designed to honor the 200th anniversary of the death of British novelist Jane Austen. Each suit represents one of her treasured novels, and the court cards in each suit represent that novel's main characters. The intricate patterns on the back design are based off the needlework patterns found in Ackermann's.
