Sky Island Playing Cards

Nice deck of cards. They handle really nice. Good price. If you have the other Sky Island decks you should get these. A good company to deal with. The cards arrived in great condition. The only problem is that I had to pay an international trans fee. I will not be buying from them again because of the fee.

I needed the right deck at the right time to flesh out a character in my novel, who almost always has a deck on his person. I narrowed it down to few decks he rotates in and out of carrying. The Sky Island deck is not just a great handling deck, and not just a great looking deck, but also is perfectly matched for the character I created. In the name of research, I of course have to carry it around and use it to fidget with or play solitaire or perform card tricks. That's the long way of saying I love this deck of cards and recommend it - not just to collect, but to use. The unusual box draws peoples' attention, which may spark a conversation. Depending on my mood, I may keep a completely straight face when telling them the origin of the deck and the airline's disappearance. Just as important, my order was packaged to withstand shipment. I feel a lot better about paying for shipping when my order is packed professionally. It seems like a no brainer, but companies often use inappropriate envelopes that do not protect the contents.
